TCPC's support groups are peer groups, facilitated by experience mental health professionals or trained peer counselor are designed to help to fight isolation, depression and other stressors that affect the health of persons living with HIV/AIDS. These groups provide an outlet for sharing experiences and information and while building comraderie and a social support system. Below is the Support Group schedule. COMPLEMENTARY THERAPIES (CTs) are those medical practices that fall outside conventional Western medicine. CTs include mind-body therapies, in which the power of the mind or the spirit is harnessed to heal the body. They also encompass touch therapies, which involve massage and other forms of physical manipulation performed by practitioners to promote healing. And they comprise phyiscal agents that are eaten, inhaled or rubbed on the skin. Current CT services offered at TCPC include:

EDUCATIONAL SERVICES - Because knowledge is power, TCPC provides various HIV health and prevention education opportunities. Once a month, TCPC hosts dinner lecturers that focus on providing PLWHAs with information on healthy living and managing their disease (ex. How to Read Your Labs, HIV and nutrition). The organizaton also has a monthly online newsletter that includes information regarding local events and news as well as healthy living tips. TCPC also maintains a Speakers Bureau of people knowledgeable about HIV/AIDS. These individuals speak before schools, organization and other groups to promote HIV awareness, health promotion, prevention and testing.
SOCIAL EVENTS - Our organization is about making positive connections, which is why we provide opportunities for social interaction for PLWHAs and their families. We provide free & reduced-cost tickets to entertainment and sporting events, parties, picnic and other events such as our annual Children's Christmas Party & adult parties and cruises.
