SOCIAL ACTIVITY DIRECTOR WANTED:
This volunteer position will be a person who is very social and enjoys
bringing people together, and encourages others to come out
and participate. You will help plan, coordinate, confirm attendance and
assist with soliciting tickets and admission to sporting and cultural
events. Good phone skills required. Have fun while helping others have a
social life again. Call the center to find your new purpose in life.
Educational Lectures and
Social Activity Guidelines
(Cancellation and Reservation Policy)
All social activities and
educational lectures are available to Positive Connections members, and
guests (family, significant other and friends).
• Priority goes to the members first when there is a social activity that has
limited number of complimentary tickets available.
• We might ask that your guest pay their own
admission, unless there is space available, we will admit them too.
• Both programs require a reservation. You
must call in your name and phone number to hold a spot for you. We will
then call you a couple of days prior to the activity to confirm your
attendance.
• Once your reservation has been made and you can not
attend, you must call and cancel at least 24 hours prior to the
event, so others on the waiting list can participate. This will ensure
that those on stand by can attend, and that we can properly order catering
for the educational lectures.
• If you do not show up or cancel prior to the
event, you will loose priority for other upcoming events for 2 months and
will be placed on automatic stand by.
• These guidelines will be enforced so that we
may eliminate the no shows so others may enjoy all
the services and programs Positive Connections has to offer. Please
respect what we are trying to do, so we may be able to continue offering
you social and educational support though our Center. Thanks for your
cooperation and consideration of others.
